Today I finally bought Ellen Hardcastle. I know I’m a year late, but whatever. So naturally when I reached the end of the album and listened to Hank’s super nice super amazing message to nerdfighters who bought the album, I followed his directions and wrote “I’m awesome” on my hand. Because Hank Green told me to. Thank you Hank. It was a needed reminder. And I love your music.

Bad lighting warning!
Had my first non-friend or “stranger” ask about my DFTBA bracelet which I wear every single day, everywhere. I’ve had friends, their parents and my sister-in-law ask about it and every time I either tell them what it really means or something like “Don’t Forget To Bath Afterwards”.
My dental hygienist (or dentist) found my bracelet interesting so we had a conversation that went something like this.
D (dentist) - So what does your bracelet mean?
J (me) - It means “Don’t Forget To Be Awesome”
D - Oh, that’s interesting. Is it some kind of group?
J - Well sort of, it’s sort of the motif of a big online community who do a lot of charity work and help a lot of people.
D - Wow that’s interesting! I’ll have to check it out. How did you get involved with it?
J - It was started by two brothers who started having video conversations because they lived across the country from each other, soon a community started and together helped so many charities. One is a Author and the other involved in environmental work/website development.D - Well it seems with their career they’ve already given a lot of themselves.
J - Yeah it’s pretty great.

Hank Green: I am in need of your pants.
I’ve been using your pants to keep track of the books I’ve read this year (aiming for 50). I finished two today and I’m starting to twitch from my inability to update.
P.S. I listened to my Ellen Hardcastle cd for the first time while I was painting my fence. I meant to send it earlier, but this is the result.
